�羺�����Ƽ� lands national aeromedical support

A new community partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), Western Operationsand Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service means �羺�����Ƽ� is now supporting aeromedical services across its Australian operationsand enhancing medical care in the regions.

The two new partnership agreements with RFDS Western Operations and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service compliment �羺�����Ƽ�’ relationships with Queensland’s RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter Service and RACQ CQ Rescue. 

Caring for community 

The agreement has been established as part of our Australia Social Investment Framework (known as the CARE Program) which provides an informed investment approach in communities in which �羺�����Ƽ� lives and works. 

Contributing to the health and safety of communities and supporting community liveability and wellbeing is a key focus area.  

�羺�����Ƽ� Community, Diversity & Inclusion Manager Anthea Craig said the team was proud to work with the RFDS, RACQ CQ Rescue, RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter Rescue Service and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and contribute to vital aeromedical services in regional communities.

About our partners 

Our partners provide the highest standard of 24-hour aeromedical search and rescue services 365 days of the year. Across our partners, their services range from hospital transfers for critical needs, GP health clinic and medical checks, dentistry, telehealth, and to locate missing persons.  

Throughout 2021 �羺�����Ƽ� will continue to support the ongoing delivery of vital services, in addition to specific investment outcomes which includes: 

- Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Western Operations – development of 18 infection control cases for its Western Australian fleet, enabling them to safely transport patients infected with viruses and other illnesses, including COVID-19. 
- Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service – delivery of the annual volunteer conference and volunteer recruitment campaign to ensure Northern New South Wales continues to receive high quality care. 
- RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter Service – supporting the Step-Up Volunteer Program. The program attracts and retains volunteers throughout the year. 
- RACQ CQ Rescue – contributing to the training of pilots and paramedics and improving training equipment, including a static winch.
